I feel like we’ve well and truly started summer over the last few days! Picnics, building sandcastles, BBQs, paddling pool, suncream, sunhats and sandals on! Which all feels a bit strange given we haven’t even had Easter yet.
Yesterday, we popped to the Ice Cream Farm in nearby Barnet for an ice cream (not surprisingly). As well as coffee, play and an Easter hunt.
Lewis of London
The Ice Cream Farm is a little offshoot of the 300 acre Fold Farm run by the Lewis brothers. The farm has been in their family for 3 generations. They sell ice cream under the Lewis of London brand with milk from their dairy herd.
You can buy delicious ice cream to eat at tables outside, drinks and ice cream and some other bits to take home. There’s a sandpit play area, vintage tractor to clamber on, hay bales to climb. Some small animals are there too (guinea pigs, chickens and rabbits) as well as Wafer, the calf. At the moment they are doing an Easter Egg Hunt for a £1, this was fun and the girls loved their Kinder egg prize.
The ice-cream is absolutely delicious and it was lovely to sit in the sun with a coffee whilst the girls played. There was enough to keep them amused for an hour or so before we headed home to get the paddling pool out!
