This is a bit of a ‘bits and pieces’ post covering a few things over the last week, the first Christmas-y week. Though we don’t have our tree or many decorations up yet – we’ve had a festive week.
Imogen has been coming home from play group with a variety of glittery craft projects and we’ve done some Christmas crafting at home too.
On Saturday we had our school Christmas fair – I was on the glitter tattoo stand and feel like a pro now after doing it for 3 hours! Andy took the girls around the fair and they visited Father Christmas and got some “Good Behaviour” certificates. I think in the photo above Seren is telling him how good she has been.
That evening we went to a party and Elsa was there too! I think Imogen was a bit overwhelmed. We were all dressed up – Seren was Cinderella, Imogen was a mouse, Andy was Prince Charming and I was a Fairy Godmother. A last minute character change for me as I originally decided upon the Ugly Stepmother but was already covered in glitter from the aforementioned fete.
On Sunday we went to visit family and my step-mum had made some gorgeous party dresses from the girls – re-purposed from a taffeta ballgown charity shop find. She had also made some new present sacks for the girls too!
We had a lovely family afternoon – the photos above show Andy doing ‘magic tricks’ and making Imogen’s ‘tattoo’ disappear!
So far we’ve ticked 9 things off of our Christmas Activities tree, with trips to London, our local Light Parade, Santa’s Grotto and the school fete, we’ve made mince pies, watched films, read Christmas books, wore Christmas PJs and made decorations.
