A Frosty Winter Walk

2nd January 2017
A frosty walk in Myddelton House Gardens December 2016

Whilst the big ones (Andy and I) would have been very happy with a couple of pyjama days last week – the little ones need to be exercised at least once a day. We headed out to some local places we don’t get to go to very often, for walks followed by coffee / hot chocolate then back home for more post-Christmas hibernating.

The weather in London has been cold and eerily misty, with some sunshine thrown in though. We went over to Myddelton House Gardens – the restored gardens of renowned early 20th century botanist EA Bowles – for a wander around.

We got very cold toes from the frosty grass. And frosty fingers from snapping photos. We soon headed to the cafe to defrost!

Beautiful photos – the frost makes everything so magical, doesn’t it! I can handle the cold as long as there’s sunshine to go with it, and a nice warm drink in the cafe afterwards! #LivingArrows

I am so, so pleased you are joining in again this year – your photos are consistently some of my favourites. It sounds like we had the same time over the last weeks – wanting to stay in PJs but needing to get out of the house too. I’m so glad for out National Trust membership! x

What lovely photos! We’ve been the same the last few weeks – I would quite happily sit around in my pyjamas watching films all day but the boys start going a bit bonkers if they don’t get out of the house every day! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your Living Arrows pictures again this year x
