Frosty Playground Trip

Frosty Park Trip

As usual with January, I’m not taking many photos on these dark, dingy days but did manage to get my camera out last weekend. We were supposed to be going on a bit of an adventure but it took us SO LONG to get out of the house (I read this from the very funny Amy Ransom a bit later on and nodded in agreement) and Seren really just wanted to go to our local park. A bit of a boring choice but she hardly ever gets to go now she’s at school and it’s getting dark by the time she finishes.

It was so cold, we were pretty much the only people there, which suits us! Imogen managed balancing along the bars of the climbing frames in the ‘big kids’ section of the playground!

Not sure when she learnt to do that but she has been trying (and scaring me a lot) for about a year. We got about an hour’s play and a hot chocolate break before heading home to defrost.

You might notice these crazy kids are not wearing gloves or hats – despite me putting them on them / suggesting they wear them at least 100 times. Even in the snow they don’t like gloves – their poor little fingers!

Lots of lovely memories at that park! Nice to see they are out and about even when it’s cold! I don’t think they feel the cold like we do … it’s their young blood!

No it’s all the running around they do!

These are such gorgeous, full-of-life photos! I take mine out in the cold too, can’t bear staying in all day! Looks like a nice playground too. We hardly go to any others except our local at the moment! Luckily they still love it as it’s quite new to them still! #livingarrows

Ah thank you. We mostly go to the same places but like to get out and explore sometimes – we’ve been to one in Barnet sometimes too!

I have never thought to take hot chocolate to the park – we have a Thermos but reserve it for tea – I will be doing hot choc next time! Your photos definitely make dreary January look so much brighter – they clearly had a great time at the park! x
