Fairies, Pirates and Playdates

I don’t know about you but the half-term holiday just flew by here. Maybe something about having the Monday as a bank holiday. I just can’t believe we are now into the last 6 weeks of Seren’s Reception year! The clock is ticking towards Year 1 and Imogen’s pre-school year.

We had a pretty laid back week as we have only very recently potty trained Imogen. It’s all going well so far  but  I didn’t want to plan any too ambitious trips!

We had playdates and visited a friend who has got a gorgeous new baby. We went to Capel Manor with friends to do the new fairy walk.

Seren conquered her fear of heights by climbing up on the fallen over tree stump and walking along it! I was so proud of her.

We went to see a pirate show at a local theatre that was fun and short enough for Imogen not too get too twitchy!

Followed by a park trip and impromptu splash fountain fun (Imogen looked like she’d been made to walk the plank at the end of it!).

We had plenty of lazy mornings, garden fun and later nights too. Back to reality now! Though I’m sure it will be mid July very soon the way that things are going.

Sounds like a lovely half term, enough to keep little people entertained but not too busy and stressful!

It did seem like a good balance.

Best to wait until they are completely ready I think – makes it easier!
