After a super busy week last week when my sister and new baby nephew came to stay, we escaped to the south coast for a night over the weekend.
Some of our friends were camping in West Wittering but we weren’t brave enough for that just yet (maybe when Imogen is a bit bigger) so we stayed in a hotel in Chichester and met up with them.
We sent Saturday afternoon on the beach at West Wittering. It was very busy being such gorgeous weather but we found an area of beach to build sandcastles and enjoyed a paddle / splash / swim in the lovely warm sea.
We managed to find a pub that could seat all 16 of us together, served lovely food (the kids / Andy were particularly pleased with the carvery) and where they were very accommodating to the kids and dietary requirements.
We hung out in Chichester on Sunday before heading home. The cafe in the park was amazing (made me pretty sad about the dire local park cafes!) and we stopped there for lunch after trying out the playground. The kids were amused for a little while pulling funny faces!
Lastly, we had a quick walk around Chichester and ended at the Cathedral playing hide and seek before coming home.
