Adventures Memories

Autumn days

24th October 2016

The younger daughter and I now get a whole day together, well between 9am and 3pm, with no specific plans. Last week we went over to Trent Park to collect leaves, conkers, pinecones, sticks, feathers and a random old tennis ball.

We popped in to the animal rescue centre to get her animal fix, the rabbits were the hit of the day. Followed by playing and tea for me and a Halloween cupcake for her.

She misses her big sister terribly when she’s an school, but I think she enjoys the 1-1 time too. Her speech has come on so much since S started school and I suspect the two aren’t unrelated.

Gorgous photos, its sometimes nice to spend time together and explore and not really have plans or be in a rush. Is that a pirates ship she has found? She looks very happy! Her gruffalo wellies are fab too!

It sounds like you had such a lovely day and what a luxury having that time together. Last year I had so much time with Troy whilst Athena was at school but this year I hardly see either of them! x

These pictures are stunning, and how wonderful that her speech has come on since your older daughter started school. That is incredible. I used to wear my hair like that when I was tiny. My mum used to call it ‘The Fountain’. It really looks so, so cute!!! #LivingArrows xx

Ah how cute! It does look a bit like a fountain! It’s supposed to keep her hair off of her face but it’s going in the wrong direction on this day – it’s tricky doing her hair as she won’t sit still!
